Hold of Us

"Hold of Us" is a contemporary dance theatre performance that delves into the human condition through a series of poetic snapshots, portraying the characters' individual and shared experiences. Within this heart-wrenching world, the characters navigate between apparent emotional and interpersonal dissociation, along with feelings of longing and despair. The work carries a hypnotic yet unsettling tone, featuring a bold pacing as the cast moves deliberately, often in stilted rhythms, as if bearing the weight of the world within their bodies.

I am Harri, a dancer from Worcester. When it comes to boogie-ing I love to 'rock-out' to some loud bassy head banging rock! When I have free time, you will see me dancing around to artists like The Hara and The white Stripes. I love being a dancer with Ella the works she creates a beautifully honest and a truly masterful canvas on stage.

Currently studying 3rd year Contemporary dance at BSU. I enjoy attempting to bake but I have no idea what I am doing. The impulse to move gets me moving on the dance floor and other places you may dance. A song that gets me moving is Beyonce's' Virgos Groove, I feel it in my bones.

I’m Katharina Willrett, people call me Kat and I’m a 23-year-old dance artist from Germany, constantly on the run from conventionality and categorization. My favourite things in life are a ballet class that makes me feel like I’m flying and a good boogie to a Frank Ocean song. Apart from dancing I enjoy exploring the world, making music, and reading more or less pretentious books.
